Cluj IT is a cluster based organization formed of active organizations in the information technology field: providers of software services and solutions, universities and research institutes, public bodies and other catalyst organizations. Founded in October 2012, Cluj IT is an innovation based value chain network of Romanian IT companies and related organizations with the purpose of increasing the competitiveness and growth of IT services and products on international markets and of creating a strong sustainable public – private partnership in order to improve the life quality of the community we are part of.
The International Federation for Information Processing is the leading multinational, apolitical organization in Information & Communications Technologies and Sciences, is recognized by United Nations and other world bodies, has a formal consultative partnership relation with UNESCO, represents IT Societies from 56 countries or regions, covering all 5 continents with a total membership of over half a million,links more than 3500 scientists from Academia and Industry, organized in more than 101 Working Groups reporting to 13 Technical Committees, sponsors 100 conferences yearly providing unparalleled coverage from theoretical informatics to the relationship between informatics and society including hardware and software technologies, and networked information systems.
The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, an “Advanced Research and Education University” as awarded with the Order of the Ministry of National Education no 5262/September 5th 2011, is today a tertiary educational institution having both tradition and national and international recognition. The fields of study have a wide range, from engineering to architecture, fundamental sciences, socio-human sciences and arts. Also, within the Technical University, the Department for Continuing Education, Distance Learning and with Reduced Frequency organizes and conducts continuous education activities and programs, postgraduate courses, continuous professional development programs or courses or based on occupational standards.
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca is the successor of the prestigious Higher School of Agriculture of Cluj, founded 145 years ago, in October 1869, under the name of Institute of Agronomic Studies, Cluj-Manastur. In 1906, the Institute reached the Academy level, becoming the Academy of Agriculture of Cluj.
Babeș-Bolyai University has become in time an emblem of success for Cluj and for the entire country. It is a dynamic and constructive institution well integrated into society and oriented towards future, a future which it can design, prepare and build. An institution that can only be conceived within the framework that consecrated it, that of the universitas magistrorum et scholarium (“community of magistrates and disciples”), of the community of teachers and students, of the “corporation of equals” with an exclusive preoccupation for innovation and knowledge.
The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca is a state higher education and research institution in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, considered to be one of the most prestigious. In 2011 it was classified in the first category in Romania, that of the universities of advanced research and education. Currently, at the UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” studies more than 9,000 students (of which more than 2,000 foreign students, from more than 50 countries). 30% of the university students are masters, doctoral students and residents. Within the three faculties, the university offers training for 12 specializations. For medicine, dental medicine and pharmacy, university education is conducted in three study languages (Romanian, French and English).
With a 90-year existence, the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca was, at the time of its establishment, the first such academic institution in Transylvania, created to cover the need for specialization in the field of fine arts and to modernize the Romanian Transylvanian artistic movement from the interwar period. One of the most dynamic institutions of the genre in the country, the University of Art and Design of Cluj-Napoca offers its students and teachers the opportunity to open and exceptional opportunities for artistic manifestation and creation, both by making available their own exhibition spaces and through domestic and international partnerships with museums, galleries, academies, art colleges, universities and art institutes where UAD representatives can directly contact current contemporary art trends and directions, but at the same time can leave their personal imprint on creativity and authenticity.
